Today, August 11, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for the well-being of pastors in poor parishes.
Many pastors serve communities with limited resources, overwhelming needs, and few forms of support. They carry the joys and sorrows of their people while often facing loneliness, fatigue, and financial uncertainty.
Saint Vincent encouraged priests to be close to the poor, but he also recognized their need for fraternity, prayer, and care. Those who serve God’s people must not be forgotten.
We pray today for pastors serving in poor parishes. May they be strengthened in their vocation, supported by their communities, and renewed by the grace of God.
Word of God
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
(Matthew 11:28)
Prayer
Good Shepherd, sustain those who dedicate their lives to serving Your people. Fill them with courage, wisdom, and peace, and surround them with companions who encourage and support them. Amen.
