The Vincentian Family Daily Intention: August 9, 2026
Today, August 9, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for the reparation of historical injustices.
The wounds of the past often continue to affect individuals, communities, and nations. Injustice leaves lasting scars that cannot be healed through silence or denial.
True reconciliation requires truth, accountability, and a commitment to restoring dignity where it has been denied.
Saint Vincent believed that charity and justice belong together. We cannot love our neighbor while ignoring the harm that has been done.
We pray today for healing, reconciliation, and the courage to confront historical injustices with honesty and compassion.
Word of God
“Learn to do good; seek justice, rescue the oppressed.”
(Isaiah 1:17)
Prayer
God of truth and mercy, guide us on paths of reconciliation. Help us remember the past with honesty and build a future rooted in justice and peace. Amen.
