Today, August 4, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for just wages for domestic and agricultural laborers.

Domestic workers and agricultural laborers perform essential work that sustains families and societies. Yet many receive inadequate wages, face unsafe conditions, or lack legal protections.

Saint Vincent taught that charity must always be accompanied by justice. Respect for workers requires fair compensation, dignity, and recognition of their contribution.

We pray today for all domestic and agricultural workers. May they be treated fairly, paid justly, and protected from exploitation. May society recognize the value of their labor and defend their rights.

“You shall not withhold the wages of poor and needy laborers.”
(Deuteronomy 24:14)

Prayer

God of justice, bless all who labor to care for homes, fields, and communities. Strengthen efforts to ensure fair wages, safe conditions, and respect for every worker. Amen.
