Today, August 3, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for people living in urban areas without green spaces.
Many families live surrounded by concrete, noise, and pollution, with little access to parks, trees, or places of beauty and rest. The absence of green spaces affects physical health, emotional well-being, and community life.
Creation is a gift from God, meant to nourish both body and spirit. As Vincentians, we recognize that care for people and care for the environment are deeply connected.
We pray today for neighborhoods lacking safe and healthy public spaces. May city planners, leaders, and communities work together to create environments where all people can experience the beauty of creation.
Word of God
“The Lord God planted a garden in Eden.”
(Genesis 2:8)
Prayer
Creator God, help us care for the places where people live. May every community have access to spaces of beauty, peace, and renewal that reflect Your goodness. Amen.
