Today, July 23, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for those who suffer discrimination because of poverty.

Poverty often creates not only material hardship, but also humiliation, prejudice, and exclusion.
Many people are ignored, judged, or treated as less valuable simply because they are poor.
Saint Vincent taught that the poor are our brothers and sisters, and that we must serve them with respect and reverence.
We pray today for all who experience discrimination because of their economic situation. May society recognize their dignity and defend their rights.

“Has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith?”
(James 2:5)

Prayer
God of the poor, free us from prejudice and indifference. Teach us to recognize Your face in those the world rejects or overlooks. Amen.
