The Vincentian Family Daily Intention: July 18, 2026

Today, July 18, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for healing after sexual exploitation in poverty contexts.

Poverty often leaves people vulnerable to manipulation, abuse, and exploitation.
Many women, children, and vulnerable persons carry deep wounds caused by systems that profit from their suffering and desperation.
As followers of Christ, we are called to defend dignity, protect the vulnerable, and stand beside survivors with compassion and justice.
We pray today for healing, protection, and restoration for all who have suffered sexual exploitation.

    Word of God
“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”
    (Psalm 9:9)

    Prayer
God of justice and tenderness, embrace those who carry hidden wounds. Restore their dignity, strengthen those who protect the vulnerable, and transform the structures that permit exploitation. Amen.

On this same day, we also celebrate the foundation of the Vincentian Marian Youth, an international association of young Catholics that grew from the Children of Mary, inspired by the Blessed Virgin Mary’s apparitions to St. Catherine Labouré in Paris in 1830. Pontifical approval was granted in 1847. Entrusted to the Vincentian Family, the movement helps young people live a Marian, missionary, and charitable faith through prayer, formation, service to the poor, and joyful witness to the Gospel.
