Coming Soon: A Vincentian Journey Toward Seoul 2027

Shortly, famvin.org will begin publishing the catechetical formation module prepared for Vincentian Youth Day 2027, which will take place in connection with World Youth Day Seoul 2027.

Entitled “Vincentian Charity: Finding Courage Among the Poor,” the module offers young people, spiritual advisors, and companions in mission a journey of prayer, reflection, formation, and concrete service. Rooted in the spirituality of Saint Vincent de Paul and enriched by the courageous witness of the Korean martyrs, it invites participants to discover that authentic charity begins with an encounter with Christ in people who are poor and becomes visible through faithful and courageous love.

The sessions explore central dimensions of Vincentian spirituality and mission, including humility, simplicity, meekness, mortification, zeal for souls, collaboration, and charity in action. Each theme is connected with the history of the Church in Korea, especially the witness of martyrs and lay catechists who lived the Gospel with extraordinary courage, fidelity, and simplicity.

Designed for both online and in-person gatherings, the material can be adapted to different cultures, languages, communities, and local circumstances. The sessions combine prayer, spiritual reading, reflection, small-group sharing, personal commitments, communal recommendations, and practical acts of charity.

More than a text to be studied, the module is intended to be a spiritual path that young Vincentians can walk together as they prepare for Seoul 2027. It challenges them to become humble in heart, simple in life, gentle in their relationships, courageous in mission, and faithful in charity.

Let us prepare to walk together, serve together, and become living witnesses of Christ among the poor.
