Today, July 13, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for the gift of silence in a noisy world.
Our world is filled with constant noise—screens, opinions, distractions, and endless demands for attention.
Yet God often speaks in silence, and the poor are best heard when we slow down enough to truly listen.
Saint Vincent valued prayerful reflection before action, knowing that service without interior silence can lose its direction.
We pray today for hearts capable of silence, contemplation, and attentive listening.
Word of God
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
(Psalm 46:10)
Prayer
God of quiet presence, calm the noise within us and around us. Teach us to listen deeply—to You, to others, and to the cries of the poor. Amen.
