Today, July 12, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for creative new expressions of Vincentian service today.
The needs of the poor continue to change, and charity must remain alive, courageous, and creative.
Saint Vincent de Paul constantly adapted his response to suffering, finding new ways to serve with practical love and deep faith.
Today, we pray for fresh inspiration within the Vincentian Family: new ministries, new collaborations, and new paths of service rooted in the Gospel.
May we never become comfortable with old answers while new forms of poverty continue to emerge.

Prayer
Holy Spirit, renew our hearts and awaken our creativity. Teach us to respond to today’s suffering with courage, humility, and faithful love. Amen.
On this same day, we also celebrate:
–The feast of St. Louis Martin, a French layman, watchmaker, husband of St. Zélie Guérin Martin, and father of St. Thérèse of Lisieux. Born in Bordeaux in 1823, he lived holiness through family life, work, prayer, and loving sacrifice. After Zélie’s death, he raised their daughters with deep faith and tenderness. Canonized with his wife by Pope Francis in 2015, he reminds us that ordinary family life can become a true path to sanctity.
–The foundation of the Congregation of the Sisters of Poverty of St. Vincent de Paul, a Vincentian religious community listed in the Vincentian Family calendar as founded on July 12, 1924. Although little public information is available about its early history, its name expresses a clear spiritual identity: to follow Christ in poverty and charity, inspired by St. Vincent de Paul’s love for the poor, and to serve vulnerable people with simplicity, humility, and practical compassion.
