Today, July 5, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for children born into cycles of debt and deprivation.

Many children begin life already burdened by poverty, hunger, exploitation, or the debts of others.
They grow up without equal opportunities, often trapped in systems that deny them dignity and hope.
Saint Vincent reminded us that charity must address not only immediate suffering, but also the structures that perpetuate injustice.
We pray today for children living in deprivation, and for societies willing to break cycles of poverty through justice, education, and compassion.

“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.”
(Psalm 82:3)

Prayer
God of justice, protect every child from despair and exploitation. Help us build a world where no child inherits poverty as their destiny. Amen.
