Today, July 4, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for those harmed by unjust church practices.
The Church is called to be a sign of God’s mercy. Yet human weakness, injustice, or misuse of authority have caused pain to many believers.
Some carry wounds of exclusion, discrimination, or spiritual hurt that have deeply shaken their trust and faith.
As Vincentians, we do not ignore suffering within the Church. We are called to truth, accountability, and healing rooted in compassion.
We pray today for all who have been wounded by unjust practices, and for the courage to build communities marked by humility, repentance, and justice.
Word of God
“He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted.”
(Isaiah 61:1)
Prayer
Merciful God, heal all who carry pain caused within the Church. Purify our hearts and structures, so that Your people may encounter truth, safety, and hope. Amen.
