Today, July 2, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for students without access to quiet study environments.
Many children and young people long to learn, yet live in overcrowded homes, unsafe neighborhoods, refugee camps, or places filled with noise and instability.
Education requires not only schools and books, but also spaces where minds can rest and dreams can grow.
As Vincentians, we believe every student deserves the dignity of opportunity and the support needed to flourish.
We pray today for students struggling to study under difficult conditions, and for communities willing to create spaces of peace and learning.

Prayer
God of wisdom, bless every child and young person who strives to learn despite hardship. May they find encouragement, protection, and places where hope can grow. Amen.
On this same day, we also celebrate:
–The foundation of the Sisters of Mary of Ingelmunster, a Catholic Congregation founded in Belgium on July 2, 1769, by Canon Pieter Jacobus Dufort. Born in a time of poverty and epidemics, the community was created to educate poor children, prepare them for work, and care for the sick and needy. Today, the Sisters continue to live a Gospel-centered life of community, prayer, and service, with a special love for the poor and vulnerable.
–The foundation of the Sisters of Charity of Heule, a Catholic religious Congregation founded in Heule, Belgium, in 1838. The community began amid the poverty, famine, epidemics, and social hardship of 19th-century Flanders, and its first Sisters dedicated themselves to serving the poor, the sick, orphans, and abandoned elderly people. Inspired by Saint Vincent de Paul, they became a living witness of God’s love through education, health care, Christian formation, and works of mercy.
–The foundation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul of Untermarchtal, a Vincentian Catholic community whose roots go back to Sisters sent from Strasbourg to serve the poor and sick in Schwäbisch Gmünd in 1852. Their motherhouse was founded in 1858 and later moved to Untermarchtal in 1891. Inspired by St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, they continue serving through health care, education, pastoral ministry, and mission.
