Today, June 18, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for victims of gang violence and organized crime.
In many parts of the world, individuals and communities are held hostage by fear, corruption, and violence fueled by crime and greed.
The poor suffer the most—recruited, threatened, or abandoned by systems that fail to protect them.
As Vincentians, we are called to break cycles of violence with compassion, accompaniment, and bold advocacy.
We pray today for all victims, for grieving families, for those trapped in violent networks, and for communities working to reclaim peace.
Word of God
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
(Psalm 34:18)
Prayer
God of peace, deliver the oppressed and transform hearts hardened by violence. May Your justice rise in the streets and Your mercy restore our neighborhoods. Amen..
