The Vincentian Family Daily Intention: June 17, 2026

Today, June 17, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for a stronger witness of simplicity in a consumerist world.

We live in a culture that constantly tells us we need more—more things, more success, more distractions. Yet the Gospel teaches us that true freedom comes from letting go, from living with less and loving more.

Saint Vincent lived simplicity not as poverty imposed, but as love freely given—focused on what truly matters.

We pray today for the courage to simplify our lives, to resist the pressure of accumulation, and to be signs of an alternative way of living rooted in compassion and justice.

Word of God
“Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice.”
(Proverbs 16:8)

Prayer
God of freedom, help us to live simply and joyfully. May our lives proclaim that Your grace is enough, and that love is the true measure of abundance. Amen.
