Today, June 4, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for those in slums and informal settlements.
In the margins of many cities, millions live without sanitation, safety, or security—yet often with deep faith, solidarity, and creativity.
As Vincentians, we are called to be present where suffering is most hidden and resilience is most alive.
We pray today for the dignity, voice, and participation of those living in slums. May they be seen, respected, and heard in the shaping of our cities and policies.
Word of God
“The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.”
(Psalm 118:22)
Prayer
God of the poor, dwell among those the world forgets. May we walk with them, learn from them, and never cease to defend their rights. Amen.
