Today, June 2, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for a culture that honors elders and ancestors.

In many societies, the elderly are seen as a burden, ignored, or pushed to the margins. But in God’s eyes, their wisdom is treasure, and their memory is blessing.

Saint Vincent often showed special tenderness to the aged poor. He knew that serving them meant protecting history, values, and roots.

We pray today for a world that cherishes the elderly—not just for what they did, but for who they are. May we honor our elders, care for them with dignity, and listen with reverence to their stories.

Word of God
“Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God.”
(Leviticus 19:32)

Prayer
God of generations, help us to love across time. May we build cultures that protect memory, wisdom, and life until the last breath. Amen.
