Dear sisters and brothers of the Vincentian Family,

Warm greetings from Lima, Peru, where we are on the threshold of a grace-filled moment: the beginning of the Continental Assembly of the Vincentian Family in Latin America and the Caribbean. As delegates begin to arrive—nearly 120 sisters and brothers from across the continent—we become aware that something greater than a meeting is unfolding. This is a shared journey, a movement of the Spirit, a step forward in our common vocation.

This gathering in Lima is the first of several continental encounters that will mark our path in the coming months: in June, in Nairobi for the first gathering of the Vincentian Family in Africa and Madagascar; in October, in Indonesia for the first gathering of FAMVIN in the Asia-Pacific region; and finally, in April 2027, in Rome for the first gathering of the European FAMVIN. Each of these moments are part of a global pilgrimage of communion, discernment, and renewed commitment to our mission.

Today, we wish to extend this moment beyond Lima. We invite every branch, every community, every member of the Vincentian Family to join us in a deep communion of heart and spirit. Though not all can be physically present, all are truly part of this journey.

We give thanks for each person who has worked to build this network of relationships, sharing our spiritual heritage, our common mission, and a prophetic vision, with renewed structures for the service of the poor and the care of our common home.

We entrust this journey to the providence of God.
