The Vincentian Family Daily Intention: April 10, 2026
Today, April 10, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for greater awareness of human dignity in public life.
Public life shapes culture. Yet dignity is often sacrificed in the name of power, profit, or popularity.
Vincentians are called to defend the image of God in every person. Our voices and actions must affirm the sacred worth of the poor, the weak, and even those with whom we disagree.
We pray today for a renewal of decency, respect, and conscience in politics, media, and public discourse. May we never forget that justice begins with seeing each other as human.
Word of God
“Honor everyone. Love the family of believers. Fear God. Honor the emperor.”
(1 Peter 2:17)
Prayer
God of all people, renew our vision of society. Let respect guide our speech, our votes, and our leadership. Teach us to honor all with justice and love. Amen.
On this same day, we celebrate the foundation of The Charity of St. Louise Volunteer Organization, established in 2017. This volunteer-driven initiative, based at Casa Santa Luisa in Torino, Italy, was founded to honor the legacy of St. Louise de Marillac by mobilizing everyday people in service to their neighbors in need. Committed to providing essential support—such as educational assistance, companionship, and practical aid—to families, the elderly, and marginalized individuals, these volunteers embody a spirit of humble presence and compassionate outreach. Operating with a strong sense of community and fraternal love, they offer various services including home visits, school help, and social integration programs. Rooted in Vincentian values of charity, respect, and accompaniment, The Charity of St. Louise brings Christ’s love to life through ordinary acts of kindness performed by ordinary people, transforming local neighborhoods one heartfelt encounter at a time.
