The Vincentian Family Daily Intention: February 23, 2026
On February 23, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for those persecuted for their faith.
In many parts of the world, people suffer discrimination, threats, imprisonment, or death for their religious beliefs. Their fidelity is a powerful testimony.
Saint Vincent knew the cost of faith in troubled times. He invites us to remain faithful and stand with the persecuted.
We pray for all who suffer for their beliefs. May their courage be rewarded, and may religious freedom be respected everywhere.
Word of God
“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:10)
Prayer
God of the martyrs, give strength to those who suffer for believing in You. May their witness inspire our faith and awaken the world to the dignity of conscience. Amen.
On this day, we also joyfully celebrate the foundation of the Daughters of Saint Mary of the Divine Providence, established in 1881 in Northern Italy by Blessed Aloysius Guanella, with the collaboration of Sister Marcellina Bosatta. Rooted in deep trust in God’s providence, this Congregation is dedicated to caring for those the Gospel calls “the Little Ones”—the poor, the abandoned, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable youth. Faithful to the Magisterium of the Church and committed to a life of prayer, charity, and service, the Sisters embody a “culture of charity” through their apostolic ministries in healthcare, education, and parish outreach, always seeking to be a living sign of Christ’s love and compassion in the world.
