Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, Evangelizer of the Poor, be with us all.
With great joy, the African Preparatory Committee, together with the International Office of the Vincentian Family, convokes the leadership of the Vincentian Family in African countries to participate in the 1st Vincentian Family African Meeting, under the theme:
“Growing Together in a Global Living Charism.” Place: Nairobi, Kenya
Dates: June 18 (arrival) – June 22 (departure)
The main objectives and the program of the meeting will be shared with you in the coming months. At this moment, we invite you to begin a process of dialogue and discernment with the other branches of the Vincentian Family present in your country. This initial conversation is essential to plan your participation in this important gathering for the future of the Vincentian Family in Africa.
Once the Preparatory Committee has determined the number of participants assigned to each country, we will inform you promptly. For now, we kindly ask you to save the date and to engage with your national Vincentian Family structures, or—where no national structure yet exists—with the other Vincentian branches present in your country, in order to plan your representation.
Our hope is that all countries with more than three Vincentian branches may be represented in Nairobi.
Please keep in close communication with us regarding your plans to participate and how your country intends to be represented. You may contact:
Fr. Guillermo Campuzano, CM
International Office of the Vincentian Family
Email: gcampuzano@famvin.org
We place this meeting in the hands of the Spirit of God and in the hearts of our founders—Saint Vincent de Paul, Saint Louise de Marillac, Blessed Frédéric Ozanam—and all the saints and blessed of our Vincentian Family.
Please do not hesitate to inform us, as soon as possible, of your intention and plans to attend. Thank you, and may God bless us all.
Fraternally,
Fr. Guillermo Campuzano,
CM Vincentian Family Office
On behalf of the African Preparatory Committee
