On January 23, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for families broken by poverty, violence, or separation.
Families should be places of love, stability, and growth. Yet many are fractured by economic hardship, war, migration, or internal wounds. Their suffering is silent but deep.
Saint Vincent and Saint Louise both knew the pain of family loss. They responded by building new families of faith and charity. We are heirs of this vision.
We pray for all families in crisis—for single parents struggling alone, children without support, and loved ones torn apart by injustice or need. May we help mend what is broken, and support families with compassion and respect.
Word of God
“He sets the lonely in families.”
(Psalm 68:6)
Prayer
Loving God, strengthen the bonds of every family. Heal wounds of separation, ease burdens of poverty, and restore peace where there is conflict. Make us instruments of healing and solidarity in the lives of those who suffer. Amen.
