On January 17, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for those affected by war and armed conflict.
War devastates lives, displaces millions, and leaves deep scars—physical and spiritual. In every cry, in every ruin, in every refugee, we hear the voice of Christ crucified anew.
Saint Vincent lived through war and responded with organized charity, compassion, and advocacy. His example calls us to serve victims of violence and to be active peacemakers.
We pray for all those living amid conflict, for children growing up in fear, for soldiers forced to fight, and for families torn apart. May peace be restored, justice upheld, and human dignity defended in every land.
Word of God
“Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.”
(Isaiah 2:4)
Prayer
God of peace, end the violence that wounds our world. Comfort those who suffer, heal broken hearts, and guide all toward reconciliation. Make us courageous artisans of peace, following the example of Your Son. Amen.
