The Vincentian Family Daily Intention: January 13, 2026
On January 13, 2026, we, the members of the Vincentian Family, pray for victims of domestic violence and all forms of abuse.
Abuse shatters the soul. Whether physical, emotional, sexual, or verbal, it leaves deep scars—especially when it comes from those closest to us. Every home should be a place of safety, not fear.
Saint Vincent de Paul called us to protect the most vulnerable, especially women and children. He challenged the abuses of his own time and demanded concrete responses from those in power.
We pray today for those who live in fear, who feel trapped, or whose cries go unheard. May they find protection, justice, and healing. May we create communities that believe victims, speak up, and act with courage.
Word of God
“The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”
(Psalm 9:9)
Prayer
God of justice, shelter those who suffer violence in silence. Bring them to safety and surround them with people who care. Make us protectors of the abused and courageous voices against all forms of harm. May no one be left alone in their suffering. Amen.
