Episode 1:

1922. A new technology – radio – fills the airwaves with jazz and news from across the world. In Italy, the fascist leader Benito Mussolini promises a new era of greatness. But in the wealthy northern city of Turin, at the foot of the Piedmont mountains, a handsome young man blessed with everything struggles to hear God’s voice in the midst of the noise. This is the story of Pier Giorgio Frassati.

Episode 2:

High above Turin, Pier Giorgio and Marco lead a group of young friends on a mountain trek. As they near the top, some in their party have fallen far behind. When Pier Giorgio descends to help those in need, he shares a surprising little secret that few people know.

Episode 3:

October 1922: Mussolini and his fascist supporters march on the Italian capitol of Rome, finally taking control of the government. Celebrations and protests are mounted all over Italy. Against his father’s advice, Pier Giorgio attends an anti-fascist demonstration in Turin.

Episode 4:

One day after Pier Giorgio’s arrest. Daylight breaks in the jail cell where we left Pier Giorgio, Father Matteo, and the three fascist blackshirts. But something has happened – an event that has changed the hearts of everyone.

Episode 5:

On the second floor of the grand Frassati mansion, Pier Giorgio lies paralyzed in bed, cut down at twenty-four years of age by a mysterious affliction. Doctor Sarto arrives to care for him. As daring plans take shape to get a medicine which could cure him, Pier Giorgio gives Marco some vitally important tasks.
