When Ozanam rented a country house in Sceaux, not far from Paris, his friend Jean-Jacques Ampère visited him on a regular schedule. The two friends discussed literary matters as well as Ozanam’s recent writings. Ozanam would return to Sceaux in search of peace and calm.
