March 14: AIC Co-Sponsored Event for UN Commission on the Status of Women

The event titled Ending Gender Based Violence: Community-led projects that unlock the potential of women and girls will take place virtually on March 14 at 8:30 am New York time.

This NGO CSW* event is co-sponsored by AIC-International. One of the speakers is Francine Poppo of the SSND Educational Center, a project supported by the Ladies of Charity at St. John’s University. A board member of the Vincentian Family Haiti Initiative will be speaking as well.

*NGO CSW New York is a platform for the voices and leadership of global feminist and women’s rights organizations at the United Nation’s Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). They organize more than 700 events during the NGO CSW Forum that inform, engage and inspire grassroots efforts and advocacy needed to empower global women and girls.
