Saint Vincent de Paul Chapel

The Congregation of the Mission built this chapel in order to shelter the relics of their founder, St. Vincent de Paul. The first stone was laid on 17 August 1826, after the Congregation relocated there in 1817 after being expelled from their mother house of Saint-Lazare by the French Revolution. Frederic Ozanam visited and wrote about this Chapel; evidence demonstrating the devotion to Saint Vincent de Paul that became a regular part of his spirituality.
