“Out of all the Vincentian figures that are highlighted at DePaul, I find Louise to be my personal favorite due to the fact that her life story is relatable. Louise faced many struggles in life, and those struggles continued even after meeting Vincent. Rejection is something that’s inevitable for all people, and Louise’s story was no different… As young adults, we’re expected to know a lot about where we’re headed next, but given current times… truly figuring out which path we’re on is difficult. Even in Louise’s story, despite the fact that she lived centuries before us, there are relatable bits that I think we can learn from.”
