Advent Reflections (Day 21)
Putting On the Virtue of Gentleness
December 17, 2022
Gentleness and warmth in the giver draw out the same gifts in the receiver. Those who find the minister warm and loving will begin to respond in the same way. This is surely why St. Vincent so emphasized gentleness as a “missionary” virtue.

Let us pray
Lord, I confess my sins to You. As St. John Gabriel Perboyre prayed, “I pray You to destroy in me all that is not of You.” Grant that I may be gentle and warm with all those I encounter today.
Scripture
Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.
Colossians 4:5-6
