Dear Members of the Worldwide Vincentian Family:

Below you will find a list of the activities that the International Formation Center (CIF) will develop during the year 2023. You can register now! We hope and, in fact, we need to increase the number of participants. As always, the sessions in France are offered in English, Spanish and French. In all the sessions, presentations and visits to Vincentian places are combined with an intense prayer and community life.

I CIF MEETING FOR PERMANENT FORMATION IN ASIA. Sunday, March 5 to Sunday, March 19, 2023. Manila. Philippines. This session is offered to members of the Vincentian Movement from the Philippines, as well as from nearby Asian countries. This session is being offered only in English. To register and pay for this session, I ask you to write to Fr. Darío Pacheco at: phisec1872@gmail.com

VI CIF FOR THE VINCENTIAN FAMILY. Sunday July 2 to Wednesday July 26.  Address: 95, rue de Sevres. Lazarist Motherhouse. 75006 Paris. France. In this session, presentations are combined with visits to Vincentian places. We will engage in research about the rich Vincentian theology and will explore possible solutions to the problems that afflict the poor. In addition, this year we will offer some presentations related to communication within the Vincentian Movement.  To register I ask you to write to me at: andresmotto@gmail.com (cost 1,950 euros).

Some practical suggestions. (1) Since the rooms at the Motherhouse in Paris are almost all reserved well in advance of the multiple activities, we ask participants to arrive the same day or the day before, but not earlier. The same request is made when leaving because these rooms have already been reserved for someone else.  (2) The cost of the various sessions includes all expenses. The best method to pay for these sessions is paying in cash or depositing the money in the French CIF account (doing this prior to the beginning of the session). (3) Remember that many countries require a visa to enter France! This process is usually longer and  more complex than at first percieved. Therefore, the process should be initiated well in advance of one’s intended date of travel. To start the process, the French government requires copies of the following documents: photocopy of passport; date of entry and exit from France; photocopy of Travel Medical Insurance (not a photocopy of your country’s health insurance). For those who do not need a visa, the process is simpler: complete the registration form and take out Travel Medical Insurance.

Happy Advent and Merry Christmas!

Fr. Andrés MOTTO, CM, ThD
Director of CIF

Thanks for the information. I would have loved to attend, but the period is too long. About three weeks.
