Camas Project distributes mattresses to over 60 families

The Society of St Vincent de Paul in Honduras is battling the natural disasters that have afflicted the country in recent months. Hurricanes Eta and Iota have adversely affected the population, leaving many without the basic necessities.

Camas Project is one of the initiatives undertaken by the Honduran SSVP to help the victims of these natural disasters … the objective of this program: to distribute mattresses to those families that do not have a bed and/or a mattress to sleep on.

Mattresses have been distributed to a total of 60 families in two locations, San Pedro Sula and Puerto Cortés, and has a budget of about $5,000 US dollars. These funds came from the International General Council through the Commission for International Aid and Development (CIAD), the National Council of the Society in Spain and  the National Council in Honduras.
