Homily: Making ourselves “radically available” to others (Video)

by | May 15, 2020 | Formation, Reflections, Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Today for your reflection we would like to feature an insightful and interesting homily by Bishop Donald J. Hying, who is the National Episcopal Advisor to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA. As he says in the video, “Being a part of the Society for 20 years has been influential and indeed transformative in my own spiritual life.”

Very meaningful to us as Vincentians, and easily watchable at 13 minutes– time well spent.

This Homily was given at the Blessed Frederic Ozanam Mosaic Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. by Bishop Donald J. Hying of the Diocese of Madison, Wisconsin, on January 26, 2020. Thank you to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul for sharing on their Vimeo channel.
