On Tuesday, September 17, at 11:30 a.m., a Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the arrival of the Congregation of the Mission (CM), the Daughters of Charity (DC) and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP) to Argentina.

The Mass was presided by the Cardinal of Argentina, Bishop Mario Poli, and concelebrated by Bishop Maletti, whose father, Mr. Ernesto Maletti, was a member of the General Council of the SSVP. Accompanying them were confreres, diocesan priests and Claretians. Also participating were members of the Vincentian Family and brothers of the popular dining room attended by the DC.

On September 22, the Mass was broadcast on public television.

It was a simple but family celebration. May this moment of thanksgiving continue to encourage us for the remainder of our lives as we continue to follow Jesus and the example of our Founders as we serve the poorest and most needy members of society.
