Second Vincentian Song Festival: “Followers of Jesus Christ, Servants of the Poor,” Now in English!

by | Jul 29, 2019 | News, Vincentian Family

After the great success of the Vincentian Song Festival in Spanish, we will now initiate the second phase: The same festival, but this time with songs in English.

The deadline to participate in the Second Vincentian Song Festival — convened by the Vincentian Family Office in continuity with the Vincentian Film Festival held in Castelgandolfo (Italy) in October 2018 — is December 31, 2019.

In this second phase, the presentation of original and unpublished songs in English are requested. As of January 2020, we will organize festivals in other languages.

The motto of the Festival is: “Followers of Jesus Christ, servants of the poor.” Obviously, the songs should develop this theme: the vocation to which we are called from the charism that we have inherited from Saint Vincent de Paul; the call to follow Christ evangelizer of the poor, as laymen and women, as clerics or religious.

Who can participate?: Members of the Vincentian Family in any of its branches, or collaborators and participants in any Vincentian work (parishes, schools, etc.) or, in general, any Christian who develops an original and unpublished song (composed for the occasion), based on the above theme. There is no age limit for participants.
