On October 7, Vincentian Marian Youth of the Dominican Republic celebrated with joy the National Marian Encounter. What better date than the day of the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. This national meeting is held annually in different provinces of the country where JMV has a presence, and this time it was celebrated in the town of San Francisco de Macoris, Duarte province, Dominican Republic. More than 250 young people from all over the country participated in it.
The motto of the meeting was “Drop me back and bring your Spirituality.” Young people had the opportunity to immerse themselves more deeply in the Spirituality of VMY, they could learn more about it and, above all, about its importance and value within the Association. The meeting was developed through training, prayer, eucharist and recreational spaces, in which young people, through games and activities, learned more about Marian devotions, about the virtues that highlight our Mother and about the history of the Association.
The young people concluded the meeting very enthusiastic and jubilant. They shared life, bonds of friendship arose among those who did not know each other, they knew more about our beloved Mother Mary and the Association and they were expecting an upcoming meeting.
