Mortification is the self-discipline that stands against seeking only what pleases me in the here and now, for the sake of more important goals. In this presentation, learn why St. Vincent insisted on the necessity of mortification. It’s all about making choices, and examining the goal for our choices. In the Vincentian context, choices are made in solidarity with and for those who live in poverty.
