The Pope Video: Welcome the Needy

by | Feb 4, 2017 | Church, News, Pope

Welcome the Needy, which is part of “The Pope Video” series promoted by the Vatican, was released Thursday, February 2. Every month we will see a new two-minute video from Pope Francis with his intentions and a motivating message.

The project is an initiative of Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network (Apostleship of Prayer), that aims to spread the Pope’s monthly intentions on the challenges facing Humanity.

The Pope tells us in this video:

We live in cities that throw up skyscrapers and shopping centers and strike big real estate deals…but they abandon a part of themselves to marginal settlements on the periphery.

The result of this situation is that great sections of the population are excluded and marginalized: without a job, without options, without a way out.

Don’t abandon them.

Pray with me for all those who are afflicted, especially the poor, refugees, and marginalized, may find welcome and comfort in our communities.
