Dear sisters!
It is with great joy and thankfulness that I would like to extend my warmest greetings to all the Daughters of Charity around the world!
Superioress General, Sr. Kathleen Appler, wrote to me a very warm letter, congratulating me on the election as the new Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission and the Daughters of Charity, assuring me of her intensive prayers!
In these days I had received many letters from Visitatrixes as well as from other Daughters of Charity. All of the letters express a deep commitment of intensive prayer to accompany my service in the next six years. Could you imagine getting a daily spiritual support from thousands of sisters around the world!
Let me express my deep thankfulness as well as my promise of a gift to you too: my daily prayer for each one of you as well as for your communities, missions, Regions, Vice-Provinces, Provinces! I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to all your beautiful witness of faith, hope and love where you live and serve.
The last almost 400 years of living the same Vincentian Spirituality, collaborating, supporting each other in our service to the Poor, had brought so many beautiful fruits! May the deepening of our Vincentian Charism in this 21th century, make of each one of us “Mystics of Charity.” May Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, St. Vincent, St. Louise and all the blessed and saints of the Vincentian Family intercede for us!
