Rome Reports“How many times do we turn the other way to not face our brothers and sisters in need?

“They don’t have food, clothes or even access to medicine. Our needs, although legitimate, are not as urgent as those of the poor.”RomeReports these words from Pope Francis’ reflection on the Gospel of the loaves and fishes.

Looking away is a polite and elegant way of saying, ‘you figure it out.’ This is not the way of Jesus. That is selfish.”

He then added that there are two opposing world views. First, selfishness and then that of sharing and compassion, which comes from God.

Looking away is a polite and elegant way of saying, ‘you figure it out.’ This is not the way of Jesus. That is selfish.”
