“The Boldness of Charity for a New Missionary Momentum,” is the shared theme of all of the Daughters of Charity Provincial Assemblies to be held throughout the world in 2014. Provincial Assembly Underway for the Daughters of Charity Province of St. Louise-USA Sister Louise Gallahue, D.C., Visitatrix of the Province of St. Louise-USA, welcomed the 274 attending Sisters and officially opened the Provincial Assembly on Sunday evening, June 22. Father Tom McKenna, C.M., Director of the Province of St. Louise-USA, celebrated Monday’s Mass. Father Tom’s homily called the Daughters to pray that they discern the prompting of the Holy Spirit so that no matter what their own convictions, opinions or passions may be, the Holy Spirit’s desires may constitute the last word. A Prayer Ritual, Province Transition, July 2011 – July 2014, celebrated the Province’s recently closed missions. Monday afternoon, Sister Louise and Sister Jane Graves, D.C., Provincial Treasurer, delivered the State of the Province report.
