Daughters of Charity and “Consecrated Life”

by | Feb 1, 2014 | Daughters of Charity, Vincentian Family

DC archivesFebruary 2, marks the 18th World Day for Consecrated Life. The February update of the international site of the Daughters of Charity has a number of features focused on this theme.

The slider will take you to the pope’s message for the World Day of Vocation.

The Media section has a prayerful reflection on Vincentian Consecrated Life. Focus On provides the text of Pope Francis’ address to the participants in the Plenary Assembly International Union of Superiors General in 2013.

The Prayer Corner presentation for this month presents Sister Giuseppina Nicoli, a Daughter of Charity whose consecrated life is an example for us all.

News that we receive comes from around the world. We encourage our Sisters to submit news so others can read the modern day examples of Vincentian consecrated life that is faithful to the love of the Lord and to the love of those who are poor.

Continue to keep in prayer all those who are living and serving in precarious situations. Let prayer for peace in war torn areas be a priority for all of us. In the name of those who are suffering – thank you very much!
