A Niagara Vice-President offers matching grant to student efforts to raise funds for aschool in Haiti

From the Niagara University website… Dr. Le Challenging Students To Fundraise For Haitian School

Dr. Hung Le, Niagara’s vice president for international relations, is challenging students to collectively raise $1,000 in support of a school in Saint Marc, Haiti. If they do before Nov. 21, Dr. Le will match it.

The fundraiser is in conjunction with Hand in Hand for Haiti, a nonprofit organization established by 1978 NU alumnus Ed Brennan. Brennan will visit Niagara this month to participate in  a daylong summit highlighting the positive change Niagara University students, faculty, staff, and alumni are affecting throughout the world.

This certainly seems like an achievable goal for students and something that others might be able to do on a “micro” scale.

Of course such an approach could be used in a similar way to support the Vincentian Family Haiti project.
