scn-intercontental 2Hundreds Attend Installation of the New Central Leadership Team

Sisters of Charity of Nazareth family members around the globe were able to view the live webcast of the new Central Leadership Team on August 31, 2013.

Hundreds of people attended the actual  Ritual of Installation for the new Central Leadership Team.  SCNs Susan Gatz, Sangeeta Ayithamattam, and Brenda Gonzales officially took office.
It was a moving multimedia celebration as Sister Sangeeta and our Sisters from India joined those gathered at Nazareth, Ky., via Skype.
The ceremony carefully wove together a number of elements in order to convey the internationality of the SCN Congregation.  Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz, DD, congratulated the new leadership team and thanked the members of the outgoing team – SCNs Mary Elizabeth Miller, Susan Gatz, and Teresa Kotturan – for their leadership.
The Archbishop also noted the many ways in which we are able to connect with our SCN family members around the world and how we embrace technology in order to do so.  SCN family members around the globe were able to view the live webcast.
Words of thanksgiving and encouragement poured in through email.  It was indeed a celebration of connectedness!
Congratulations also as the SCN continue to break ground in using digital media to connect their world-wide membership.
