Assam Riots Leena Padam, SCN, visited the four relief camps at New Bongaigaon Diocese, Kokrajhar Dt, Assam along with two Holy Cross Sisters. Thousands of people are living in very congested areas with whatever belongings they were able to collect when the riot broke out. In July 2012 the Indian state of Assam saw outbreaks of riots between indigenous Bodos and migrants of Bangladeshi origin. Gambaribil camp has a total of 2229 people from five villages; thirty two families are living at Sontash Mushahary Memrial M.E. School, Rajadarby; Gaulangbazar had about 2,500 people from 24 villages. Kathalguri has 2,329 people from 24 villages.  There are 8 sub camps.
