Nuns take to billboards for Mt. 25:32

Billboards (Link no longer active)- The Welcome the Immigrant Billboards are a collaborative project of (Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) Region VI and Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center (IJPC).

LCWR passed the following resolution at the 2012 Annual Assembly:LCWR calls on Congress to pass the Dream Act and comprehensive immigration reform that includes the reunification of families and a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants living in the United States.
LCWR opposes the passage of and calls for the repeal of restrictive state laws that create a climate of fear in immigrant communities. In particular, LCWR calls for an end to state legislation that:
 promotes racial profiling
 denies the undocumented basic human services
 prohibits the provision of aid by private citizens and religious groups to the undocumentedExcellent information about the Immigration Issue may be found on the Justice For Immigrants website
