Will you “Be the Voice of the Poor”

by | Jun 8, 2012 | Vincentian Family

While powerful lobbies work to influence legislators and legislation who speak with and for the those who are on the margins in a world that seems to forgot a basic concept of Christianity – the “common good”.

The national SVDP USA site  writes, “As the Voice of the Poor we want to inform our elected representatives and our community how decisions affect the people we care for -our friends, the poor.  We want to hold our elected representatives accountable for the decisions they make that affect the poor.

You can be a Voice of the Poor by joining us in speaking as a unified voice on behalf of the poor.  Encourage members to speak about the services the Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides.
