Sisters lead the way in anti-trafficking fight

When it came to galley slaves Vincent led the way. Today women religious are particularly active in raising visibility to the sex slave trade that is much more prevalent than most realize. The National Catholic Reporter has a fine overview of the issues and what women religious are doing.

    Let’s not forget that the Vincentian Family has also been active in fighting human trafficking. The Sisters of Charity-Halifax have created LifeWay Network (http://lifewaynetwork.org/). The Ladies of Charity’s next issue of The Servicette features an article about human trafficking.
