Seventh Formators’ Meeting. From 7-25 July, the 7th Formators’ Meeting of the Conference of Visitors of Africa and Madagascar (COVIAM) was held in Nairobi (Kenya). There were 12 confreres present from seven countries. The General Curia was represented by Fr. Victor Bieler, Assistant General for the Missions.
Each gathering is organized around a reflection on the four vows and the five virtues.
This year the group prayed, discussed and reflected on the vows of stability and chastity and the virtue of apostolic zeal.
Presentations were given by Fr. Manuel Ginete, C.M. (Visitor of the Philippines), staff members of the Institue for Social Ministry of Tangaza College in Nairobi and Fr. Thomas O’Hern, C.M.
A new Preparatory Commission was chosen and includes Tom O’Hern (Kenya), Audace Manirambona (Cameroon), Léon Moninga (Congo) and Gaston Faratsely (Madagascar).
