[English below] Kiedy przychodzi wiadomość o śmierci kogoś z naszej rodziny przyjaciela, współpracownika niemal automatycznie na naszej twarzy pojawia się zdziwienie, zaskoczenie, niedowierzanie. Jak to? Dlaczego? To niemożliwe! Taka wiadomość dotarła do nas dzisiaj w nocy. Patricia Tryon, żona i matka, przyjaciółka zmarłą we śnie w nocy z 14 na 15 kwietnia 2012, w swoim domu w Longmont w Kolorado, USA.
Zdecydowana większość naszych czytelników nie poznała jej nigdy, nie wiedziała o jej istnieniu. Dlaczego ją wspominamy? Chociaż bliższa jej była duchowość Pasjonistów niż Rodziny Wincentyńskiej to przez kilka lat była członkiem zespołu redakcyjnego Famvin.org. Dużo pracy i czasu włożyła w budowanie i porządkowanie VincentWiki – Vincentian Encyclopedia. Kiedy w 2008 powstawała najpierw Encyklopedia Wincentyńska, a następnie serwis FAMVIN Polska Patricia od początku trzymała kciuki za nasz pomyślny rozwój, służyła pomocą i wsparciem, była dobrym duchem, mimo, że po polsku nie mówiła ani słowa. Nigdy nie była w Polsce, ale też nie zaprzestała planować wizyty . Zwierzałą się, że zazdrościła swojemu mężowi jego pobytów w Katowicach i Krakowie, mimo, że to były jedynie wyjazdy służbowe.
Jej dziełem są dwie, cieszące się dość dużym zaintersowaniem widzów YouTube, wideo prezentacje : “Cudowny Medalik i św. Katarzyna Laboure” oraz “Mądrość Wincentyńska” Jak sama wspominała, praca z tekstami w języku, którego nie znała była dla niej dużym wyzwaniem.
Wychowała się w rodzinie protestanckiego pastora w otoczeniu lasów i jezior Oregonu (Lake Oswego i Portland). Ostatnie lata życia spędziła na pogórzu Gór Skalistych, dwie godziny drogi od Denver (Longmont). Osoba i nauczanie Jana Pawła II, jak często podkreślała, sprawiły, że jej rodzina przeszła do Kościoła Katolickiego. W związku małżeńskim z Chuckiem przez ponad 30 lat. Radością jej życia i oczkiem w głowie zawsze była córka Alys. Mając 57 lat z determinacją ukończyła studia na Marylhurst University uzyskując bakalaureat (B.A.) na wydziale nauk interdyscyplinarnych. Na codzień zajmowała się projektowaniem i zarządzaniem stron internetowych, projektowaniem materiałów graficznych, np. obrazków religijnych. Jej pasją była fotografia i grafika. Tą pasją dzieliła się na kilku prowadzonych rzez siebie blogach. Regularną współpracę z Famvin.org zakończyła z początkiem 2009 co spowodowane było m.in. jej działalnością zawodową, i prowadzonymi projektami.

Alys i Chuck Tryon informują, że Msza św. pogrzebowa w intencji ś.p. Patrycji Tryon zostanie odprawiona w piątek 20 kwietnia 2012, o godz. 10:00 czasu lokalnego (GMT-6) w kościele parafialnym pw. Aniołow Stróżów w Mead, Kolorado (15179 Weld County Road 7). Następnie w południe odbędzie się prywatny pochówek w obecności jedynie rodziny. Dla uczestników ceremonii przewidziany jest poczęstunek w sali parafialnej przy kościele Aniołów Stróżów o 14:30 miejscowego czasu. W czwartek popołudniu (16:30 – 18:30) ciało będzie wystawione na widok w Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory przy 326 Terry St.w Longmont.
It is the first time in the history of Polish edition of Famvin.org news site when a post is bilingual. This is because Patricia, you were so close to our editorial hearts. When death message of a sibling, relative, friend, coworker comes automatically our face gets astonished, surprised and shows disbelief. How so? Why? It’s impossible! Such news reached us at night on Monday. It read, that Patricia Ann Tryon, wife, mother, friend died suddenly in her sleep on Saturday night, April 14.
Some of the readers of this service can wonder why do we remember a person whom most of them did not know, and most probably, have never met in their lives. I did. And I’m grateful, I had opportunity to meet her on my pathway, when Famvin.org publications started to speak Polish. She was devoted to Passionist spirituality for long time. But for many years she was involved in Vincentian traditon as well being a teammate of Famvin.org, where she did a lot developing and managing VincentWiki – Vincentian Encyclopedia project. She backed WincentyWiki – Encyklopedia Wincentyńska when it started to grow at the beginning of 2008. And she supported the project when Famvin Polska news site was established in October 2008. Always, she was helpful, opened and supporting, even besides she didn’t know a word in Polish.
To help us build the audience she reedited and made Polish language version of her videos “St. Catherine Labouré and the Miraculous Medal – Grace Notes” [Polish version] and “Vincentian Wisdom – A Reflection at Christmas” [Polish version]. As mentioned, it was a challenge for her to produce a video with texts in the language she didn’t know a word.
She never visited Poland and envied Chuck, her beloved husband, that he spent some time in Krakow and Southern Poland doing his business. When she lived in London, she often said how much she would be eager to walk John Paul II steps in Krakow. Poland took an important place in her heart as much as she has been in our hearts. Even when she finished collaboration with the Vincentian Family in 2009 because of her other commitments and projects she continued to support growth of both Famvin.org Polish projects. She followed other Polish Vincentian websites regularly.
She was raised in protestant preacher’s family somewhere in the background of forests and lakes in Oregon. She recalled that whenever she spoke of modesty, expenditures, unnecessary shopping, etc. Her last years Patricia and Chuck, a marriage since more than 30 years, spent on plain foothills of Rocky Mountains in Colorado. The personality and teachings of Pope John Paul II lead her and her family to Catholic Church. Her only daughter Alys, was a center of her thoughts and feelings. Whenever she talked about her, it was so obvious how much she loved her, worried about her, cared, how much she wanted to be with her in her successes and failures. At the age of 57, when most of us do not even think about, very determined, she graduated from Marylhurst University with B.A. in interdisciplinary sciences. it was so encouraging seeing her joy and enthusiasm when she got her diploma.
She was webdeveloper and website manager, blogger. The family of her photoblogs was growing and growing. You may reach them from the links below. She loved taking beautiful shots of flowers, birds, nature which later shared in her blogs. Let’s believe she would take the place where she has been called into great collection of frames and images. She will capture our lives from above.

Viewing will be possible on Thursday, April 19 in the evening (4:30 – 6:30 PM) at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 326 Terry St., Longmont, ColoradoFuneral Mass will be held on Friday, April 20 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church at 10:00 AM MDT (GMT-6). The address is 15179 Weld County Road 7, Mead, Colorado. At noon the family will attend a private burial. At 2:30 pm everyone will be welcome at an afternoon luncheon at the Parish Hall of Guardian Angels. We would be very glad for your company.
