Vincentian Marian Youth International continues to prepare for their first-ever gathering of African VMY Councils as a lead up to the VMY General Assembly in Lisbon. As part of their assembly doings, the official representatives to the Third Assembly have elected a new coordinating council.

The Third General Assembly of los Misioneros Seglares Vicencianos (Vincentian Lay Missionaries) has begun in Bogotá, Colombia. Opening with a Eucharistic celebration which included a procession of flags from the countries represented, the Missionaries were joined by members of the Vincentian Family in Colombia.

International delegates from MISEVI (Misioneros Seglares Vicencianos), including the Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission, as well as invited guests from other lay Vincentian missionary organizations, will meet beginning February 5, 2010, in Bogotá, Colombia.

What young people can do. The students of the High School for Recording Arts were moved by the tragedy in Haiti and wanted to help. They decided to apply their skills to raise awareness and to show their support for the people of Haiti. The result was this Song for Haiti.
